When you upload a screenshot to WhoCookedWho:

1. Your image gets sent to OpenAI's API

2. Their AI reads it and generates the verdict

3. We get the verdict text back

4. Your original screenshot is IMMEDIATELY and PERMANENTLY deleted

5. Only the verdict text stays (temporarily in your browser)

We're not lying about this. We literally cannot retrieve your screenshots after processing. They don't exist on our servers. Zero. Nada. Gone.

(OpenAI might keep it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring per their policy, but that's on them, not us)

📊 What We Actually Collect

Stuff that happens automatically:

• What browser you're using

• What device you're on (phone, laptop, etc.)

• Your general location (like "Netherlands" not your exact address)

• Which buttons you click on our site

• How long you spend on the site

(This is all through Google Analytics and helps us make the site better)

Stuff you give us:

• Screenshots or text of arguments (deleted immediately after processing)

• Any optional context you add

• Your email if you contact support

Stuff we DON'T collect:

• Your name (we don't even ask for it)

• Your phone number

• Your address

• Payment info (not charging yet)

• Social media profiles

• Any other personal identifying information

🎯 What We Do With This Info

We use the data we collect to:

• Make the AI verdict feature actually work

• Figure out which features people like

• Fix bugs and improve the site

• Answer support questions if you email us

• Make sure nobody's trying to hack or abuse the site

That's literally it.

We don't use your data for ads, we don't build profiles on you, we don't sell anything to anyone.

🌐 Who Else Sees Your Data

We DO NOT sell your data. Period. End of story.

But we do share some data with these services to make WhoCookedWho work:

OpenAI (GPT-4o-mini):

They process your screenshots to generate verdicts. According to their policy, they keep data for max 30 days for abuse monitoring, then delete it. We don't control this - that's their policy.

Google Analytics:

They track anonymous usage stats like page views and clicks. It's all aggregated and anonymized. You can block this with browser extensions if you want.

Law Enforcement:

Only if we're legally required. We've never received such a request and hope we never do.

If We Get Acquired:

If someone buys WhoCookedWho, your data would transfer to them under the same privacy terms. But honestly, there's barely any data to transfer.

💾 Where Your Data Actually Lives

Your Browser (localStorage):

Analysis results and your usage count are stored on YOUR device, in your browser. We can't see this. It's yours. Clear your browser data to delete it.

Our Servers:

Literally nothing. We don't store screenshots or conversation content. Just anonymous analytics.

Third-Party Services:

OpenAI processes stuff temporarily (max 30 days). Google Analytics stores anonymized usage data (26 months default).

🌍 International Data Transfer

Our servers are in the United States. If you're using WhoCookedWho from outside the US, your data gets transferred to and processed in the US.

The US has different data protection laws than Europe or other regions. By using our site, you're cool with this transfer.

(But remember, we barely store anything anyway, so there's not much to transfer)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Might affect some functionality though.

Request Deletion:

Email hello@whocookedwho.ai and we'll delete whatever data we have (probably just support emails if you've contacted us).

We use standard security practices:

• Immediate deletion of uploaded images

• Regular security updates

That said, no internet service is 100% secure. We do our best but can't guarantee absolute security against all possible threats.

WhoCookedWho is not for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from kids.
